Personal Matter

Even though she kept saying No

Begging him to let her go

To his ears, it was a challenge

Boost for his masculinity, no need for consent

She’s his property, his right

It’s her duty to please him, without a fight

Her clothes ripped fallen on the floor

Along with her modesty outraged behind closed doors

Her screams pierced through dead of the night

Some who heard her, chose to ignore

Did their best to shun the noise, went back to snore

Some felt sorry for her plight

Did nothing as it was a matter between man and wife…
